Pace Canada Development LP has applied to construct and operate a 15-megawatt solar power plant and to connect the power plant to the ATCO Electric Ltd. distribution system. The AUC issued a notice of application on September 18, 2024.
The power plant would be sited on 171 acres of private pastureland. The power plant would be located within the urban boundary of Hanna, adjacent to the Hanna Airport, in the northwest quarter of Section 3 and west half of Section 10, Township 31, Range 14, west of the Fourth Meridian. The application has been filed under the Hydro and Electric Energy Act.
The AUC issued a notice of hearing for this proceeding. The hearing will be held from March 3 to March 7, 2025.

The eFiling System should be accessed to view the applications and the other documents the AUC will be considering in this proceeding. The system is also used to file submissions and evidence to participate in the proceeding.
To create an account, select “New account” and follow the steps to create a user ID and password. If you have any questions about how to use the eFiling System please contact us at info@auc.ab.ca or 310-4AUC.
