The AUC has approved applications from the Alberta Electric System Operator (AESO) of the need for the Vauxhall Area Transmission Development. The AUC issued Decision 27776-D01-2023, on September 19, 2023.
The AUC has also approved applications from AltaLink Management Ltd. to meet the need proposed by the AESO. AltaLink is approved to restore the capacity of Transmission Line 879L by replacing 21 and modifying 32 structures and removing 1.6 kilometres of underbuilt distribution line.
AltaLink is approved to rebuild 138-kilovolt Transmission Line 610L by constructing a new line located along the south side of Township Road 102. AltaLink will also salvage the existing Transmission Line 610L, which is located on the north side of Township Road 102.
The eFiling System should be accessed to view the applications and the other documents the AUC will be considering in this proceeding. The system is also used to file submissions and evidence to participate in the proceeding.
