Watch an AUC hearing
The Alberta Utilities Commission (AUC), the independent utilities regulator, has cancelled the hearing to review the electric power plant and transmission development and industrial system designation applications in Proceeding 28753. The AUC issued a notice of hearing cancellation on April 15, 2024.
Strathcona Resources Ltd. has applied to construct and operate a new substation, amend the existing power plant approval for a capacity increase of 67.5 megawatts of power, and amend the existing industrial system designation for the internal electric system serving the Lindbergh steam-assisted gravity drainage (SAGD) project operations. The applications have been filed under the Hydro and Electric Energy Act.
